Wednesday, August 17, 1977NETTIE SNYDER'S Death Reported
A resident of Villa West Care Center, Nettie Snyder, 92, died Thursday, August 11, 1977. Daughter of Melvin and Mary Ann Augustine Vandewater, she was born June 23, 1885 in Adair County.
On December 26, 1900, she was married to George Virgil Snyder in Adair County. They moved to Madison County in 1926. Mr. Snyder died in May of 1945.
Mrs Snyder's daughter, Mrs. Essie Drake of Des Moines survives her. Survivors also include 18 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Cleo Bindle, son Rex, four grandchildren, eight brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Collins Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Wooley officiated. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
