On Sunday, July 17, Oliver Rudd Patrick, Jr., 54, Ankeny died at Broadlawns Hospital, Des Moines. Son of Oliver Russ Patrick Sr. and Allie Maud Bridges Patrick, he was born July 16, 1923 in Atlantic, Iowa.
A salesman of lawn equipment, Mr. Patrick lived in Jefferson, Iowa, for the most part of his life. He was in the Navy for four years and a member of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and Baptist Church in Jefferson.
On October 15, 1968, Mr. Patrick married Emily Rebecca Alexander Finney in Rock Island, Illinois.
Survivors include his wife Emily; two sons, Oliver Rudd Patrick III of Los Angeles and Michael D. Patrick of Bass Lake, California; two stepsons, Paul Finney of Omaha and Jon Finney of Davenport; one stepdaughter, July Mlynek of Topeka, Kansas; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Kenneth Helmers officiated at the funeral services held Tuesday, July 19th at the Collins Funeral Home. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
