Wednesday, January 18, 1956MRS. NORA SPAIN DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Nora Spain, at a hospital in San Pedro, California Thursday, January 12th, following a nine month illness.
Mrs. Spain, the former Nora Forbes, was born and raised in Madison county. She left Iowa in 1951 following the death of her husband.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. W. T. John of San Pedro, with whom she made her home, a son Bryce Cooper of California, six grandchildren, her father, D. F. Forbes of Norwalk, a sister, Mrs. Laura Little of Winterset, and a brother, Warner Forbes of Hollister, Missouri.
Funeral services were held in San Pedro Saturday, January 14th, at 2 o'clock with burial there.
