Berniece Parker, Winterset

Berniece K. Parker, 90, died Dec. 10, 2002 of multiple organ system failure at Winterset Care Center North.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Bill Branson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. Burial will be at Clark Cemetery, Monroe Township, Madison County.

Berniece Parker was born Jan. 28, 1912 to Charles and Josephine (Smith) Sheldon of Lorimor. On July 5, 1932, she married Carl R. Parker in Bethany, Mo. A resident of Madison County for most of her life, Berniece had helped her husband farm. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Union Church, Madison County.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Raymond Parker; three brothers, Ernest Sheldon, True Sheldon and Eugene Sheldon; three half brothers, Clark Branaman, Clarence Branaman and Clinton Branaman; and a sister, Irene Sheldon.

She is survived by a half brother, Clifford Branaman of Pierre, S.D.
