Martha I. Pardun, St. Charles

Martha I. Pardun, 80, St. Charles, died last Thursday of cancer at Madison County Hospital. No services were held. The body was cremated.

Mrs. Pardun was born in Adams County and lived in Des Moines from 1953 to 1980 and in St. Charles for the past four years. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Henry Walder of St. Charles; a daughter, Maude Marie Chapman of Fontanelle; two brothers, Arthur Sickles of Mansfield, Mo., and Francis Sickles of Missouri; three sisters, Ellen Kirkpatrick of California, Bertha David of Corning, and Eunice Sanders of Minnesota; a stepson, Harold Pardun of Gilman City, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Eula Sutton of Coffee, Mo., 20 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Dunn's Funeral Home in Des Moines was in charge of arrangements.
