Olive A. Palmer, Winterset

Oliver Agnes Palmer, 82, of Winterset, died of cancer July 13, 1997 at her residence in Winterset Care Center South. Funeral services were July 15 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Carl Van Farowe officiating. Burial followed at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Orient on January 8, 1915 to Charles and Lettie May (Rheams) Oneal. She was a tire and rubber worker at Armstrong Tire and Rubber in Des Moines for 32 years before retiring. She lived in Orient, Des Moines, and Adair before moving to Winterset seven years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, and two sisters.

Surviving relatives include one son, Donald W. Palmer of Winterset, one daughter, Dorothy Crawford of Winterset, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
