Death of Mrs. Seth Nelson

Mrs. Seth Nelson died at her home Friday, January 4th, after a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted at the West Star church by Rev. A. R. Weed, Monday afternoon, January 7th, and burial was in the McDonald cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson was 39 years old at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McDonald, of Douglas township. Before her marriage she taught school in Douglas township. She is survived by her husband, mother, daughter, Inez, four brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Nelson was ill with the flu and complications and her condition was not regarded as serious until shortly before her death. Details of her life may be found in the mortuary column on page seven.

Addie May Nelson

Addie May, daughter of Joseph F. and Teresa McDonald, was born in Madison county, Iowa, July 28, 1889. She attended school in Douglas township and when old enough became a teacher.

She was married to Seth Nelson, February 28, 1922, and to them two children were born, Doris, who died in infancy and Inez, now three years of age. She united with the West Star M. E. church at a very early age. She continued steadfast in her love of Christ and worked for the advancement of His kingdom, being always ready to testify for her Master. She was kind and loving in the home and loved her work and those around her. After a brief illness she passed away January 4, 1929, aged 39 years, 5 months and 7 days. She leaves her husband and daughter, her mother, four brothers and three sisters and many friends. Hers was a life of love.

Rev. A. R. Weed conducted the funeral service at the West Star church Monday afternoon, January 7th, and the interment was in the McDonald cemetery.
