1962MRS. PHYLLIS OWEN DIES AT BURLINGTON
Mrs. Phyllis Belle Owen, 56, died Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Mercy hospital in Burlington, Iowa, where she had been admitted earlier in the day.
Services were held Friday, November 23rd from the Elliott-Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. L. Z. Patton, pastor of the First Christian church officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park cemetery.
A native of Winterset, Mrs. Owen was born Aug. 11, 1906, the daughter of Robert and Mary McKinzie Brittain. On Oct. 12, 1946 she was married to Carl Owen who died Dec. 17, 1961.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Patricia (Glenn) Cline of Winterset and five grandchildren.
