MRS. LEWIS OVERTON DIES AT DES MOINES

Mrs. Lewis Overton, formerly of Madison county, died Sunday Dec. 1 at her home in Des Moines. She was 55 years of age and had lived the last 12 years in Polk county.

Mrs. Overton was the former Ruth Elizabeth Kelsey, daughter of Harry and Maude Cunningham Kelsey. She was born Dec. 28, 1907 at Elk Falls, Kansas.

She was married at Winterset on Dec. 4, 1929 to Lewis W. Overton, who survives her. Their only child, William Stanley Overton died in 1940.

She was a member of the Four Square church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Farlin of Lorimor and Mrs. Gladys Evison of Palo Alto, California.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Winterset Four Square church. Burial was to be made in the Wight cemetery.
