Death of Clifton Orr

Clifton Orr, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Orr, of Scott township died at the Winterset hospital on last Wednesday afternoon. He had been sick for the past two weeks with typhoid pneumonia and other complications, which set in at the last. The boy had always been well until this spring, when he had an attack of chronic appendicitis. This left him weakened and he was unable to withstand the attack of the fever, and he died when the poison filled his lungs.

He has been helping his father on the farm since he quit school and he has many friends in Winterset and in the county.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church and were conducted by Rev. Malone. Many of his friends attended the funeral and paid their last respects to the boy they all liked and admired.
