Mary Olson, a lifetime resident of Madison county died January 11 at Villa West Care Center. She was 92 years of age.

Mrs. Olson was born August 18, 1888, the daughter of Robert and Lizzie Smith Brown. On February 27, 1907 she was married to Joseph N. Olson in Madison County. She was associated with the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Glen Olson of McAllen, Texas and two daughters, Bessie Smith of New Sharon and Lucile White of Earlham, seven grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sons, a brother, sister and one grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted at Collins Funeral on January 13, at 2 p.m. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery with Pastor John Harzalik officiating.
