Helen R. (Powers) Olson, 92, of Dunnellon, Fla., died of cancer July 14, 1997 in Ocala, Clf. Fero Funeral Home's Dunnellon Chapel handled arrangements. An October memorial service will be held in Winterset.

She lived in Des Moines and Ames before moving to Florida. She married Carl Wilson of Winterset in June 1926 and was a resident of Winterset in the early 1930s. She later remarried. She was active in Plymouth Congregational Church in Des Moines, Women's clubs in both Des Moines and Ames and First United Methodist Church in Ames. She was one of the founders of Emanon.

She was preceded in death by both husbands and one son.

Surviving relatives include one daughter, Janet Whitehead of Dunnellon; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
