Private funeral services were held for H. I. "Hi" Olsen, 79, in California. He died Thurs., Nov. 22 at his home after a long illness.

Olsen was born February 11, 1911 in South Dakota. He received his B. A. from Simpson College in 1933, and was employed as a credit analyst by Dun and Bradstreet of Milwaukee, Wisc. From 1937 to 1944 he owned and operated a trading post, dealing in furs and other commodities at Bethel, near the Bering Sea.

He is survived by his wife, the former Vanna Breeding of Winterset.
