Funeral services for Jack M. Oliver, formerly of Winterset, were held Feb. 3 at the Chapel Hill mortuary in Littleton, Colo. His death had occurred Jan. 31 at Denver, at the age of 68 years.
Mr. Oliver was a native of Des Moines, but lived for many years in Winterset, where he was employed as a linotype operator by the Winterset Madisonian. He moved to Denver about 35 years ago, working on publications in that area until his retirement in 1965.
He was married in Des Moines in 1920 to Aletha Trester, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Marceline Knodel of Denver; a brother, Ray E. Oliver of Bandon, Ore.; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. His son Walter W. Oliver, died in 1960.
