OBITUARY

Della Bellows was born March 9, 1853, in Washington County, Iowa. She was the sixth child of a family of thirteen children. She grew to womanhood there, and on January 1, 1872, was married to James R. Cox, and moved the same year to Penn township, Madison County, where she spent the rest of her life. To this union were born seven children.

May and William, the oldest of the family, died in infancy. Charles Hugh died Oct. 5, 1920, at the age of 37. J. Edwin, of Earlham, Mrs. Malinda Marston, of Joliet, Ill., Mrs. Grace Stegall and Everett, of Earlham, survive. She is survived by 15 grand children and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother C. M. Bellows, of Wenatchee, Washington, also two sisters Mrs. Ella Lewis, of New Albany, Kansas, and Mrs. Lucy Armstrong, of Greely, Iowa. Her husband James R. Cox preceded her in death on March 17, 1927.

When a child she became a member of the Methodist Church of which faith she continued until called to the Church Triumphant last Sunday evening at nine o’clock.

Funeral services for the deceased were held Tuesday afternoon at the Penn Center Church with Rev. Corrie officiating. Interment was at Penn Center cemetery.
