Samuel Lester Trester

"Be ye therefore ready also; for the Son of man cometh at an hour when we think not."

So it was with the life of Samuel Lester Trester. Son of James M. and Matelda Trester born August 24, 1875 and departed this life November 21, 1940 at the age of 65 years.

He was married February 26, 1902 to Rosellia Davis of Winterset, Iowa. Soon after, they moved to Des Moines, where Mr. Trester was a street car motorman for 26 years. They came to Earlham in August 1933 where they resided until his death.

He united with the Capital Hill Church of Christ in Des Moines in 1906. "Less" (as he was known to his friends) was a generous and a very kind hearted man, and was always happy when he could be among, and helping the less fortunate people.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, twin brothers Ed Trester of Huntington Beach, California; Edwin Trester of Holeyook, Minnesota; sisters, Mrs. Ida Payton of Huntington Beach, California; Mrs. Dora Gregory of Traziner, California; Mrs. Clara Traiser of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Lucy Thompson of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents and two sisters preceding him in death.
