Wednesday, January 3, 1968ELLA NUNAN OF WINTERSET DIES - Long-Time Resident Died on Saturday at Age of 66 Years
Ella Nunan of Winterset, a resident of Madison county since childhood, died Saturday, Dec. 30, at a Winterset nursing home. She was 85 years of age.
Miss Nunan was born at Stuart on April 7, 1882 a daughter of John and Mary Dowd Nunan. Most of her life was spent in Winterset. For many years she made her home with a sister, Kathryn. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church at Winterset.
Surviving are the sister, Kathryn Nunan of Winterset; a brother, John Nunan of Oskaloosa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Rosary services were held Monday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, and the funeral Tuesday from St. Joseph's Catholic church. The pastor, Msgr. John W. Higgins, conducted the services. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
