Arthur M. Wright, 81, of Winterset died of cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison County.

A lifelong Madison County resident, Mr. Wright was a retired farmer and a member of the DeSoto school board, Badger Creek Conservation Club and Fairview Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, John, and a daughter, Marcia Sutherland, both of Winterset; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
