Rodger Alexander, 46, of rural St. Charles died of a heart attack Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will be at the IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Indianola.

Mr. Alexander was born in Des Moines and farmed in the St. Charles area all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia; two sons, Shane of Memphis, Tenn., and Jesse of St. Charles; his parents, Willis and Donna Alexander of St. Charles; a brother, Steven of Longmont, Colo.; and three grandchildren.
