MRS. ROBERT NICHOLS DIES AT 60 YEARS

Mrs. Robert Nichols of Peru died Monday, Oct. 1, at a St. Charles nursing home. She was 60 years of age.

Mrs. Nichols was the former Carrie Elizabeth Smith, daughter of John T. and Hattie Chapman Smith. She was the widow of Robert Nichols whose death occurred on July 1 of this year.

Nearest surviving relatives are four brothers, Leo Smith of Kansas City, Theodore Smith of Trenton, Mo., Kenneth Smith of Clive and Walter Smith of Des Moines; and a half sister, Nellie Harvey of Fairfield.

Funeral services were last Wednesday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, in charge of the Rev. Willard Marshall. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
