Fred Nichols, Colorado

Fred Nichols, 60, of Colorado, died April 11, 1994 at a hospital in Colorado. No services are scheduled. Cremation is planned.

He was born Oct. 13, 1933 in Winterset to George R. and Helen (Mardis) Nichols. He married Gigi Zink in Las Vegas on Feb. 21, 1952. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was an electrical wholesaler and sales representative for Mountain States Telephone Co. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1951-1955.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one daughter, Angella M. Diller of Denver, Colo.; one son Erick V. Nichols of Ormond Beach, Fla.; one brother, George M. Nichols of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Joan Harlan of Atlantic and Linda Silverthorn of Morton, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Fred Nichols, 60, died April 11, 1994, at a local hospital.

In honor of Mr. Nichols' wishes, no services are scheduled. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mr. Nichols was born Oct. 13, 1933, in Winterset, Iowa, to George R. and Helen (Mardis) Nichols.

He was married Feb. 21, 1952, in Las Vegas, N.M., to Gigi (Zink) Nichols, who survives.

He also is survived by a son, Erick V. of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Angela M. Diller of Denver; a brother, George M. of Los Angeles; two sisters, Joan Harlan of Atlantic, Iowa, and Linda Silverthorn of Morton, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Nichols had lived in the area since 1959 and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He had previously lived in Denver and Las Vegas, Nev.

He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955.

Mr. Nichols became an electrical wholesaler after working for Mountain States Telephone Co. as a sales representative.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a memorial in Fred's memory, to be decided at a later date.
