DAROLD “BEAK” BERRY

Darold “Beak” Berry, 67, died Monday, July 28, 2003. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2003 at Cornerstone Family Church in Des Moines, of which he was a member. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Darold was born in Des Moines, Iowa and had lived in rural Indianola for the past 38 years. He worked for Firestone in Des Moines as a tire builder for 28 years, retiring in 1987. He worked construction in Winterset for 5 years and had worked for Cornerstone Family Church since 1992. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna; son, Dan (Anne) Berry of Des Moines; three daughters, Denise Mahlstadt of Indianola, Donna (Bill) Glanz of Des Moines and Debbie (Steve) Tannehill of St. Petersburg, FL; three brothers, Larry, Ron and Ken; 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Cornerstone Family Church.
