Winterset Madisonian - June 21, 1995

Kenny Duaine Ridout, 21, of Winterset, died June 17, 1995, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines due to injuries he received in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services were June 20, 1995, at First United Methodist Church in Winterset with the Rev. Don Frank officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 23, 1973, to Raymond and Linda (Cresap) Ridout in Winterset. He was a 1992 graduate of Winterset High School; a member of the National Honor Society; and Boy Scouts. During his high school career, he was active in high school football, basketball, track and baseball. He was a junior at Iowa State Univeristy and was employed by Holiday Inn on Merle Hay Road and the Hy-Vee Food Store on McKinley & Fleur in Des Moines.

Surviving relatives include his father, Ray Ridout and wife Betty of Cumming; his mother, Linda Spencer and husband Jerry of Winterset; two brothers, Craig Ridout and wife Laura of Kansas City, Kan. and Kevin Ridout of Winterset; a sister, Kristie Nielsen and husband Kevin of Colfax; two step-brothers, Ron Hubbs of Topeka, Kan. and Brandon Hubbs of Van Meter; a step-sister, Jeri Steffens of West Des Moines; grandparents, Wayne and Flossie Ridout of Lorimor and Everett and Eloise Cresap of Patterson.
