Services for Robert Phillip Niblo, 61, a native of Madison County who died Wednesday Oct. 6 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Friday at Glen Echo Christian Church. Burial was at the Merle Hay Mausoleum.
He was born the son of Freddie L. and Nettie Fife Niblo on March 21, 1921, in Jackson township. He married Mary McDonald of Scranton on April 25, 1942 in Princeton, Mo.
He had lived in Des Moines since 1952 and was a retired self-employed electrician and a member of the Glen Echo Christian Church, Odd Fellows, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Lost Cord Club.
Survivors include his wife Mary; a daughter, Mary Ann; a son, Robert F.; a daughter-in-law, Patsy; and two grandchildren, Alice Marie and Robert, all of Des Moines; and his mother and sister, both of Winterset.
His father preceded him in death.
