Earlham Library Collection
February 1931

Harold Gene Vodohosky, son of Joseph and Lucile Vodohosky was born in Earlham, Iowa, February 11, 1930; and after a short illness was taken by a loving Father into the beautiful life February 12, 1931, while at the Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa. His age was one year and one day. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his father and mother, one brother, Gilbert, his grandparents and a number of relatives and friends.

It is true that no where in all animate life do we see so plainly portrayed the finger prints of God as in the life of an innocent child. At no time is it better to sing, “Safe in the arms of Jesus; Safe on His gentle breast.” A child is saved without ordiance (ordinance) or ritual through the redemptive blood of Christ on the cross.

The funeral service was conducted by A. N. Simpson in the Church of Christ, Earlham, Iowa.

Interment was in the Earlham cemetery.
