Services for Kathryn Lynee Spatz, 99, life-long resident of Van Meter who died Nov. 6, 1982, were held at the Van Meter United Methodist church Wednesday, Nov. 10, with the Rev. Dennis D. Nicholson, officiating. Burial was in the Booneville Cemetery.
Born at Van Meter Feb. 22, 1883, she was the daughter of Frank and Amanda Manbeck. She was married to William Spatz July 30, 1914. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1948.
Mrs. Spatz was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since March of 1943.
She is survived by three children, Albert Spatz and Mebel Pennock, both of California; and William L. Spatz, of Missouri; 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Marvin Sheets and Ardath Mackeny, and a sister, Belle Landers.
