Former Resident Dies In Washington
Mrs. Beulah Nelson, a native of Madison county, died Jan. 30 in Vancouver, Wash., where she had lived in recent years. She was 74 years of age.
Mrs. Nelson was the former Beulah Cox, daughter of John and Nancy McDonald Cox. She was married in Winterset in 1912 to Charles L. Cox, and they later lived in Des Moines. He died in 1952, and she later married Joe Nelson of Des Moines, who also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Elsie Yazel of Collins, Ross Cox of Bussey, Mrs. Lula McAllister of Lakewood, Calif., and John F. Cox of Clatskanie, Ore.
Funeral services were held Feb. 2 in Vancouver, with burial in Park Hill cemetery there.
