Funeral services were held in Stuart May 29 for Clarence R. Rudolf, 80, of Stuart. He died May 26, 1993 at the Guthrie County Memorial Hospital in Guthrie Center.

Clarence Robert Rudolf was born May 18, 1913 near Winterset to John F. and Nancy E. (Harrison) Rudolf. Educated in Madison County schools, Mr. Rudolf joined the U.S. Army and served during the second world war. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 8142, Winterset.

In October, 1947 Clarence married Agnes (Jones) Pettit and they farmed in Guthrie County for 11 years. After moving to Stuart, Clarence Rudolf worked at Iowa Concrete products in Des Moines until 1978.

Preceding him in death were three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one brother, William E. Rudolf, Des Moines; four step-sons; Billie Pettit, Corpus Christi, Texas; Donald and Jerry Pettit, Winterset and Dickie Pettit of Prescott; three step-daughters; Lucille Meisenheimer, Menlo; Joann Lemon, Norwalk and Janice Wright, Gallatin, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Eletha Rudolf, Winterset; 21 step-grandchildren, several great-step-grandchildren and a close companion, Thelma Starr-whom he met in 1983.

Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery. A graveside memorial service was conducted by V.F.W. Post 8142, Winterset.
