December 31, 1980Frank Neidt Dies At 88
Funeral services for Frank E. Neidt, a long-time resident of the Peru-Truro area, were held Monday afternoon, Dec. 29 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro.
Mr. Neidt died Dec. 26 at West View Care Center in Indianola. He was 88 years of age.
Frank Edson Neidt was born in Clarke County on Nov. 20, 1892, a son of William and Anna Burgus Neidt. He attended Clarke and Madison county rural schools, and on June 19, 1912, he was married to Edith Spurgin.
A farmer, he was a member of the First Christian Church in Truro.
Mr. Neidt was preceded in death by his wife, in 1969, an infant daughter, and a brother, Charles Neidt.
Surviving are two sons, Joe and Laverne Neidt, both of Truro; two daughters, Mary Evelyn Brant of Truro, and Cleona Knapp of Des Moines; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Officiating at the funeral Monday was the Rev. George Campbell of Truro. Burial was in the Peru cemetery.
