Wednesday, December 20, 2000Ruth Shoemaker, 95, died Dec. 17, 2000, from complications of a stroke at Winterset Care Center South.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Dr. Bobby G. Dickerson officiating. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.
Ruth Shoemaker was born Dec. 19, 1904, to George Morgan and Clarissa Orlena (Wilkinson) Shoemaker of Winterset. A graduate of Winterset High School, Ruth had worked at Madison County Memorial Hospital for a number of years. She was a lifetime resident of Winterset and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
