Obituary

Isaac Showers was born July 17th, 1836, died January 17th, 1901, aged sixty-four years and six months.

He was united in marriage to Miss Jennie Osborn, September 12th, 1864. To this union were born nine children, three sons and six daughters, seven of which survive him. Two sons have preceded him to the better land. He moved with his family to Madison county, Iowa, in 1870 and remained there until 1891, when he moved to Grundy county, Missouri, where her remained until death called him away. He was a good husband and a kind and loving father. He was one of Grundy county’s best citizens. By hard work and economy he was able to leave his family with a good home.

The funeral services were conducted by C.A.B. Watson at Rural Dale church. The services were attended by a large congregation of old friends. After services he was laid away in the Rural Dale cemetery.----Trenton, Mo. Republican
