Diane Lynette Sorensen, 44, of Mount Ayr, died Dec. 6, 1995. Funeral services were Dec. 9 at Wilson-Watson Funeral Home in Mount Ayr. The Rev. Donald Campbell and John Safford officiated the services and burial was at the Tingley Cemetery.
She was born April 4, 1951 on a farm north of Mount Ayr to Doyle and Carol (Lamoreaux) Weeda. She married Kenneth Eugene Sorensen on Sept. 22, 1973. She had attended Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Nebr. She had worked as a teller at the Union State Branch Bank in Winterset. She was a member of the Mt. Ayr Regular Baptist Church and the Regular Baptist Church in Chariton. She also attended the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; and all her grandparents.
Surviving relatives include her mother; one son, John Sorensen; three brothers, David Weeda and wife Melinda, Timothy Weeda, and Danny Weeda and wife Carol; two sisters, Patty Stevens and husband Clayton of Winterset, and Linda Swanson and husband Rolf; and two aunts, Naomi Wilson and husband Lawrence and Faith Shinkle and husband Willis.
