DEATH OF FRANKLIN DANIELS

Franklin M. Daniels, a former Madison county resident, died in Salina, Kansas, Friday, August 26th, following an operation. He was 64 years of age.

Mr. Daniels and his mother, Mrs. Nancy J. Daniels lived on a farm a quarter of a mile west of the Beerbower school in Lincoln township. He came here from Danvers, Illinois, when a younger man and was married to Mary Sprinkle. She died within a year. Several years later he married Maggie Smith of the Beerbower school. She and their three children, Russell of Indianapolis, and Ruby and Marion at home survive him.

Several relatives and friends from a distance attended the services which were held in Salina, Kansas. Friends of former days in Madison county who attended were May Forbes Kinney, Boyd Forbes and Tony Trimmer of Rocky Ford, Colorado; Mrs. J. F. Camp and three children of Wilsey, Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. John Deal of Newton, Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Keller and Mrs. J. A. Hale of Des Moines, Arthur and Mabel Smith of Winterset and Miss Myrtle Killam of Van Meter.
