Thursday, November 16, 1933HENRY G. LEVEKE Dies
Henry G. Leveke, a well known resident of Madison county, died at the hospital in Clarinda, Sunday, November 12th, following an extended illness. The body was brought here, and funeral services were held at the First Methodist church in Winterset, Tuesday afternoon, November 14th, at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. L. H. Lanning, the pastor had charge of the services. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
Mr. Leveke who was 54 years of age, was born near Hebron in Adair county, February 10, 1879. Later he came to Madison county, and resided here, until his health failed him, about ten years ago.
On March 17, 1904, he was married to Ava L. Shaw. They were the parents of two children, the son dying in infancy and the daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bass, who with the mother survives his passing.
Besides his wife and daughter, he leaves two brothers, Earnest of Hollywood, and Harry of Fuller, Idaho, and four sisters: Mrs. C. H. Kamphoefner of Sioux City, Mrs. J. H. Klienschmidt of St. Louis, Missouri; Mrs. S. M. Jolliffee of Villisca, and Mrs. F. D. Layne of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He also leaves one grandson Billy Bass.
