MRS. ADA LEVEKE Died Here Friday

Mrs. Ava L. Leveke, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Friday, March 13, after an extended illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Bass of Winterset.

Mrs. Leveke was 79 years of age at her death. She was a member of a well-known Webster township family, a daughter of Cass and Lillie Shaw, and was born in Madison county Aug. 14, 1884.

She was married in Webster township on March 17, 1902, to Henry G. Leveke. They were parents of a son, who died in infancy, and the daughter, Dorothy. The husband and father died in 1933.

Mr. Leveke was a long-time member of the Methodist church, in which she was active as long as her health permitted.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Charles Bass of Winterset; two grandchildren, William Bass of the U.S. Armed Forces and Mrs. Jane Heichel of Ithaca, N.Y., and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the First Methodist church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
