Reva Cord Murphy, 82, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment Nov. 10, 1995 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were Nov. 13 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Pastor Terry Kerr officiated the services and burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
She was born in Winterset on Aug. 17, 1913 to Walter A. and Bessie (Davis) Cord. She married Fredrick Murphy on Nov. 14, 1937 in Winterset. She was a homemaker and farming companion to her husband. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset and a former member of the Hoosier Prairie Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters.
Surviving relatives include two sisters, Helen Day and Fern Cord, both of Winterset.
