Wanda Shirley Kinney, 84, formerly of St. Charles died Sept. 24, 1994 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines of heart failure. Funeral services were Sept. 27, 1994 at the St. Charles Parish Church in St. Charles. The Rev. Ed Poston and the Rev. Linda Lighthall officiated the graveside services with burial at the Bondurant Cemetery in Bondurant.
She was born in Dallas Center on September 18, 1910 to George and Anna (Shirley) Pritchard. She married Jesse “Jack” Samuel Kinney. She was a homemaker and had lived in St. Charles prior to moving to the Ramsey Memorial Home in Des Moines three years ago. She was a member of the St. Charles Parish and resident council at Ramsey Memorial Home in Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son and one daughter.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Ronald and wife Carolyn of Farmington, New Mexico and Jack and wife Carol of St. Charles; daughter-in-law Christine Sheeler of Ames; son-in-law Jim Gammell of West Des Moines; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
