Former Winterset resident Shawna Diahanne Jensen, 23, died June 2 of injuries received in an auto accident on I-35 north of Des Moines. Funeral services were held June 5 at Collins funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Raines officiating. Burial was at the Hill of Zion Cemetery in Adair County.

Miss Jensen was born in Story City on December 9, 1969. Her parents are Darrell Jensen and Connie Rogers. She graduated from Colo-Nesco High School in 1988 and lived in Winterset from 1989 to 1992 before moving to Colo. She worked as a computer operator for Donnelly Marketing in Nevada.

Surviving relatives include her parents, Darrell of Des Moines and Connie Rogers and husband, both of Colo; her great-grandmother Alberta Reynolds and grandmother Marian Solomon, both of Glendale, Ariz.; her fiancé, Kevin Bush of Winterset; a brother, Ryan Jensen of Winterset; a sister, Bridgette Brinkmeyer and husband R. J. of Ames; a niece, Branigan Brinkmeyer; five uncles and three aunts including Loretta Lauer of Winterset.
