Ruth Kassebaum, 48, of Lincoln, Nebr., died of a heart attack July 25, 1995 in Lincoln, Nebr. Services were held July 28 at Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel in Lincoln, Nebr. The Rev. Ed Millican officiated the services and burial was at the Fairview Cemetery in Lincoln, Nebr.

She was born in Winterset to Art and Ruth Newbury on May 14, 1947. She married Jack Kassebaum and spent her lifetime sewing crafts and holding shows. She was also employed at a book store.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Surviving relatives include her husband; four sons, Loren Kassebaum, Brian Kassebaum, Gary Kassebaum, and Carl Kassebaum; her mother; two brothers, Gale Newbury and wife Pat of Lincoln and Harrell Newbury and wife Carlene of Atlanta, Georgia; and five grandchildren.
