Funeral services for Lois Blanche Hoeness, 89, were held at Collins Funeral Home on Mon., April. 5 with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Mrs. Hoeness died April 2, 1993 in her home. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

She was born March 30, 1904, in Madison County to Ray and Jennie Mae (Vandeburg) Wilson. She was a lifetime resident of the area and worked at Boyt Harness. Still Hospital and Meredith Publishing in Des Moines, She later worked at Madison County Memorial Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the Oak Grove WSWS, the Missionary Band, and the Oak Grove Community Church.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Paul Wilson, and one nephew.

Surviving relatives include one son, Dean Hoeness and wife Dorothy of Winterset; three grandchildren, Dana Hoeness of Winterset, Deena McDonald of Winterset, and Darin Hoeness of Des Moines; and four great-grandchildren, Cody, Jared, Riley and Mariah McDonald.
