Jose Jacobo, 39, of Winterset, died Nov. 28, 1994 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines of heard injuries suffered in a fall. A special memorial service will be held at the Visitation Catholic Church in Des Moines on Wed., Nov. 30 at 1:30 p.m. sponsored by the Holy Family School.
A 6 p.m. Rosary and a 7 p.m. Vigil will be held Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at the Visitation Catholic Church in Des Moines. Burial will be at Apo, Michoacan, Mexico, his place of birth.
He had lived in Winterset since 1988. He was employed by the Visitation Catholic Church in Des Moines of which he was a member.
He was preceded in death by one brother; and one step-brother.
Surviving relatives include his wife Maria of Winterset; his parents, Rafael and Maria Jacobo of Apo, Michoacan, Mexico; his maternal grandparents, Fermin Vargas and Narividad Lazaro of Apo Michoacan, Mexico; two sons, Rafael Jacobo and Ronny Jacobo, both of Winterset; one daughter, Linda Jacobo of Winterset; two stepsons, Roy Salcedo of Winterset, and Raymond Lopez of San Antonio, Texas; six brothers, Baltazar, Eliseo, Gabriel, Martin, and Vidal Jacobo, all of Apo, Michoacan, Mexico and Rafael Jacobo of San Mateo, Calif.; six sisters, Edelmira, Irma, Carmela, and Marta Alicia Jacobo, all of Apo, Michoacan, Mexico, and Maria Estella and Genobeva Jacobo of Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico; and two step-granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Visitation Catholic Church in Des Moines.
