Herbert E. “Bud” Egger, 72, of Springfield, Mo., died June 5. 1995, at his home of Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS). Memorial services were June 7 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Springfield, Mo. Graveside services were June 9 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Casey with the Rev. Koch of St. Paul Lutheran church of Winterset officiating.

He was born Sept. 22, 1922, to Arthur W. and Christina (Sears) Egger. He farmed and did carpentry work in the Winterset and Peru area for several years before moving to Springfield, Mo.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Norma (Madsen) Egger, a daughter, Sheryl Simmons and husband Louis of Springfield, Mo.; one son, James N. Egger of Denver, Co.; a sister, LaVerne (Pinky) Madsen and husband Gene of Winterset; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
