Corda Anna Fleener, (95), died October 15, 1993 at the Winterset Care Center North in Winterset. Services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Winterset on October 19, 1993 with Rev. David Bauer officiating. Burial was at the Hill of Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Fleener was born November 6, 1897 in Miller, Ill. to Charles and Emma Jane (Hayer) Wildey. She married Obie Fleener in Bolivar, Mo. on August 29, 1917.
She moved from Adair County to Winterset in 1960 where she was a house wife and a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was a protestant.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three daughters, Beatrice and Frances Schleifforth, and Audrey Nelson; one brother, Marion Wildey; two sisters, Florence Smith and Pearl Holmes.
She is survived by one son, Cecil Fleener and wife Virginia of Palos Verdies, Calif.; one son-in-law, Louie Nelson of Stuart; three daughters, Rosie Waltz and husband Eugene of Winterset, Dortha Reynolds and husband Robert of Lenox, Esther Rynearson and husband Jesse of Lorimor; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be directed to the Hill of Zion Church.
