Funeral services for Pete Mount, 83, were held Tues., Nov. 13 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lisa Klein officiating. Mr. Mount died at his home November 11.

Max Lenocker Mount, known as Pete Mount, was born July 31, 1907 in Valley Junction to Raymond B. and Irene (Lenocker) Mount. He married Esther Sachua March 6, 1938 in Dexter. A resident of Madison County most of his lifetime with the past 18 years in Winterset, he was a retired farmer, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Lion's Club, the Community Club in Dexter and Lakeview Country Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a half-sister.

Survivors include his wife, Esther of Winterset; a daughter, Marilyn A. Mount of Winterset; a brother, Jack R. Mount of Des Moines; two half-brothers, Robert Mount of Ottumwa and Stanley Mount of Lorimor; a sister, Margaret Haman of Iowa City and a half-sister, Martha Ann Van Den Busch of Huntington Beach, Calif.

Burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorials will be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
