Services for Joseph "Bud" Spick, 78, of the Wick community in Warren County near St. Charles, who died at the Bethesda Care Center December 29, were held Tues., Jan. 2 at the Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial was at the Wallace Cemetery at Wick.

Mr. Spick was born near Murray on October 18, 1911, the son of Joseph and Mazie Bergsma. He was a lifelong resident of the Wick community and farmed.

Mr. Spick was a former member of the Martensdale school board.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret McDonald Spick; sons, Joe and Al, both of Wick; a daughter, Marijane Hornung of Union City, Calif.; a brother, John of Wick; sisters, Dorothea Dunn of Carlisle, Ina Miller of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Jane Harper of West Des Moines; and six grandchildren.
