Graveside services were held Wed., Jan. 15 for Effie B. Spencer, 87 at Fields Cemetery in Rural Park County. She died January 14, 1961 at Bethesda Care Center where she was a resident.

She was born March 1, 1903 in Park County to Theodore and Alfa E. (Jones) DeLong and attended Clarke and Truro schools. She was employed at Union State Bank for 30 years and was Truro office manager for 25 years. She was a member of the Truro United Methodist Church where she was superintendent of the junior department for many years; a charter member of the guild of United Methodist Women and a member of the choir for 55 years. She was a past PEO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
