Funeral Rites Will Be Held Thursday at Lorimor Methodist Church
Lewis E. Hiskey of Winterset, former resident of the Lorimor neighborhood, died Monday, April 7, at his home in Winterset after an illness of several months. He was 76 years of age.
Mr. Hiskey was born in Madison county, Aug. 27, 1870, the son of Samuel and Nancy Hiskey. He was married Oct. 12, 1908, to Carrie Palmer. They were the parents of seven children.
Surviving are his wife; the seven children, Mrs. Lilla Johnson of Murray, Mrs. Frances Benson of Earlham, Mrs. Leota Huston of Peru, Mrs. Mildred Rakes of Indianola, Mrs. Lena Peterson of Winterset, and Clifford and Maynard Hiskey of St. Charles.
Funeral services will be conducted this Thursday from the Methodist church at Lorimor, in charge of the Rev. R. C. Priebe. Burial will be made in the Barney cemetery.
