WOODROW ADDY IS BURIED HERE

Well-Known Winterset Young Man Died Friday in Denver

V. Woodrow Addy, formerly of Winterset, died last Friday, April 25, at the Fitzsimmons hospital in Denver, Colorado, after an extended period of failing health. He was 34 years of age.

Mr. Addy was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Addy of Winterset, and most of his life was spent in this community. He was born here April 30, 1912, and attended the local schools. He became a member of the Winterset Church of Christ in 1926. In recent years he had made his home in Wyoming.

He was a veteran of the recent war. He was inducted into the army August 17, 1943, and received a medical discharge on February 27, 1944.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Addy; his step-son, Bert; his parents, of Winterset; a sister, Mrs. Geneva Little of Winterset; and three brothers, Clarence E. Addy of Omaha, Hugo Addy of Monson, Massachusetts, and Wayne Addy of Casper, Wyoming.

Funeral services were held here Tuesday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, conducted by the Reverend Wilbur Watkins, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the McDonald cemetery.
