MRS. LINNA BANKS DIES ON SUNDAY

Was Member of Pioneer Family in Madison County

Mrs. Linna Banks, life-long resident of Madison county, died at her home in Winterset Sunday, April 27, after a short illness. She was 87 years of age.

Mrs. Banks was born in this county October 7, 1859, the daughter of Levi and Sarah Smith, who were pioneer settlers here.

She is survived by her two sons, Lee and Loyd Banks, both of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Leasman; two brothers, Wes and Pros Smith; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Fosher of Winterset and Mrs. A. E. Danforth of Denver Colorado; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted this Wednesday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Reverend L. F. Davis of Winterset. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery northeast of town.
