Wilbur LeRoy Moore, son of Bruce A. and Lois Moore, died Dec. 3, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Wilbur of "Wib" as he was known, was born Feb. 2, 1916 at Earlham.
He graduated from Earlham High School and attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College. He served in the Army during WW II. He was united in marriage to Wilma Lorimor Dec. 28, 1940 and to this union two children were born, Judith Marie and Carl Bruce.
He spent most of his life in Madison County living on a farm south of Earlham and then moving to Winterset in 1968. He was a member of Early Chapel Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and only sister, Margaret Thrailkill. Survivors are his wife, Wilma, his daughter Judith Moore of Cedar Rapids; his son, Bruce of Portland, Ore.; and seven grandchildren

Earlham, IowaWilbur LeRoy Moore, son of Bruce A. and Lois Moore, died December 3, 1986 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset, Iowa. Wilbur or “Wib” as he was known, was born February 2, 1916 at Earlham, Iowa.
He graduated from Earlham High School and attended Northwest State Teacher’s College. Wilbur served his country in the Army during World War II. He was united in marriage to Wilma Lorimor December 28, 1940 and to this union two children were born, Judith Marie and Carl Bruce.
Wilbur spent most of his life in Madison County living on a farm south of Earlham and then moving to Winterset in 1968. He was a member of Early Chapel Christian Church.
Wib was a private person but those who knew him enjoyed his sense of humor. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with wife, children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and only sister, Margaret Thrailkill. Survivors are his wife Wilma, his daughter, Judith Moore of Cedar Rapids, his son Burce and wife Betsy of Portland, Oregon, seven grandchildren, Sharon, Richard, Patricia Bobenhouse of Cedar Rapids and Christopher, Kathryn, Heather and Robert of Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 6, 1986 at Early Chapel Christian Church, Earlham, Iowa with Reverend Cheri Gelner officiating. Organ music was provided by Irene Clague and soloist was Curtis Bruett. Pallbearers were Russell Leeper, Kenneth Payne, Mark Rickets, Dale Smith, Alden Lorimor and Doyle Mapes. Honorary pallbearers were John Clague, Vern Ahnen, Robert Bobst, Edward Hircock, George Radakovich, Wayne Swallow and Lester Piatt. Interment was in Penn Center Cemetery, Earlham, Iowa.
